If you haven’t been to Leavenworth before or if it has been a long time, add it to your travel list.
It is a charming Bavarian-themed mountain town located on the eastern slopes of the North-Central Cascades. Not only is it surrounded by beautiful mountains making you feel like you are in a European village, it is 100% geared for tourists and outdoor enthusiasts alike, and there are a lot of fun events for you to enjoy throughout the year.
Let’s take a look at the 5 events you should experience in town this spring.
Spend Saturday and Sunday walking around town visiting the many stores, restaurants, and wine tasting rooms to enjoy delicious, mostly pear-themed, food and drinks, including lots of wine tasting.
Invite your girlfriends for a fun weekend away, enjoy a romantic getaway with a special someone, or take the whole family. There are kids tickets available too.
We only had a few hours each day to participate in this event last year and were blown away at how many places were participating and how many yummy treats were available. We didn’t even have a chance to use half of the tickets!
Overall, I was very impressed with what we received and what was available. It was a lot of fun and I will definitely do it again!
Tickets
Passport books are available for adults and kids. With the purchase of a ticket, you receive a passport book full of tickets showing you what you will receive at each location and a map showing you where each participating store, restaurant, and wine tasting room is located.
We purchased 2 adult passport books and 1 kid passport book. The kid’s passport book was plenty for our 3-year-old and 1-year-old to share. If you have older kids, you will probably want to buy one book for each kid so they don’t have to share. I highly recommend staying for the whole weekend to get your money’s worth and not feel rushed. But if you only have one day available, you will still have a great time and will be able to enjoy a lot of good food and drinks.
Enjoy the beautiful spring flowers and the many activities throughout town all weekend, including live music and traditional dances, and come watch the parade on Saturday at noon.
If you have a Bernese Mountain Dog, make sure to bring them so you can join the parade.
This is a fun spring event for the whole family!
This event looks like a lot of fun! I haven’t had the pleasure of participating yet, but it is definitely on my list of activities to attend. 
With the purchase of a ticket, you receive a bottle tote and wine glass, and you get to enjoy an afternoon walking around town and tasting delicious wines from the many wine tasting rooms and sites Leavenworth has available.
This would be a lot of fun with your girlfriends or for a romantic getaway. Probably not so fun for the kiddos.
