It’s time to get practical!
Many of us believe adventure involves doing something epic or extreme. While an adventure may involve one or both of these, here at Leavenworth Adventures it’s more about the adventure perspective – seeing life as an adventure and choosing adventure in all areas of your life.
Here in Part 4, I will help you think of practical ways to choose adventure at home and away. I encourage you to start right where you are, wherever that may be. If that means starting small and simple, that’s OK. It doesn’t have to be anything big or complicated. Or, if you are feeling really motivated and want to make a big step, go for it. You need to start at the place that is right for you, and that will look different for everyone.
With that said, I really want to stress how important it is to NOT compare your level of adventure with anyone else’s.

I know how easy it is to get caught up in the comparison game, especially when scrolling through Instagram but don’t. Don’t let yourself go there. Don’t compare where you are on this adventure journey with anyone else. An activity familiar and comfortable to one person might be a new and exhilarating adventure to you.
Everyone’s journey starts somewhere different, will look different, and will have a different ending. This is about you and your life, not someone else’s. You want your adventure journey to be true to who you are and where you want to go.

Now it’s time to brainstorm practical ways to choose adventure. I put together three lists of suggestions in the following three categories: Home, Outdoors, and Travel. Take a look and make sure you add your own ideas to the list.

Have you been thinking or talking about doing any of the above for a while, but haven’t done anything about it?
Now’s the time!
It doesn’t have to be dangerous. It doesn’t have to be something no one else has done. It doesn’t have to be something untouchable or something that will take a long time to accomplish.
It just has to be adventurous for you!
Choose adventure in one of the above areas this week, either one of my suggestions or one of the ideas you come up with, and see what happens.
